My wife Judy and I have lived in Santa Rosa since 1969. We have two sons
and a daughter and 4 grandchildren.
My main hobbies after retirement have been bicycling and photography. Camping trips with several good friends are highlights several times a year. Photography prompts me to go out and really see and experience the world intimately. I view the world (including my life as well) as a magnanimous gift, and I am extremely grateful. Naturalist John Muir says, “Nature opens up a thousand windows to show us God.” The poet Gerard Manly Hopkins enthuses, “The world is charged with the grandeur of God. It flames out, like shining from shook foil.” I hope my photographs show some of the grandeur that I experienced while making them.
